For me, non- verbal communication is the key to people's thoughts and emotions. This key is maybe underestimated because most of us think the most important factor in a conversation is verbal communication.
After reading my sheets and watching the video I realized maybe someone can say and promise lots of things that are actually not real, but that person would not be able to hide his emotions and his feelings and that's because people can't control non- verbal communication ( facial expressions, tone of voice, gestures, eye contact, etc. ) you can fake a smile but it would never be the same as a real one.
So I agree with  the saying "your actions speak louder than your words", you can tell the personality of a person  by HOW they express what they're saying no matter WHAT they're saying. For example, few days ago my english teacher told us how she finds out who's paying attetion to her, the only thing she has to do is watch her students faces, she can tell who is interested in the class by how we act, some of us just stare at the wall while others yawn, we are actually not saying anythig but she can tell how we feel. Another example is when a person you are talking to is always looking at the floor, that can mean that is shy; we can also take as an example they way how best friends or couples communicate with eye contact, when you look at a really close friend you can asume what that person is triying to say without using words.
In conclusion,by watching people's non- verbal communication, sometimes we can tell how a person feels or thinks, by relying on gestures and facial expressions people say more things than with words.

Drag Kings

Since 1972 a group of female performers dressed in male  attire started to use the term "Drag King" to identify themselves; inspired by Annie  Hindle, a popular broadway actress, this community of male impersonators had been changing people's perceptions and taking recognition all over the world. The group of drag kings includes women who dress in masculine clothing for pleassure or fun and women who wish to be known as men. Many people get confused when recognizing this group because sometimes it is common to see women  wearing ties, jackets, men's hats and suits only for fashion, but these are not considered drag kings. Not all drag kings ar part of lesbian culture, some of them are straight women who want to experiment with male attire and actitudes. Altought this group was created in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New york, drag king shows are becoming easier to find in lot of countries, now individual kings are preparing more 'king shows' and finally sharing the stages with their male counterparts, the drag queens. In Colombia drag kings are not a very common group and sometimes are discriminated, they do their presentations in private events, lesbian parties ad gay bars.

For drag kings been recognized have been a challenge because of the hate  for homosexuals (homophobia) or for people with different ways of expression. The majority of the kings have been mistreated, some people tend to curse them, yell them, hit or even kill them,  Their labor has been ignored, most people only know drag queens and don't consider drag kings' shows important or relevant. Even in the LGBT (lesbians, gays, bisexual and transgender)culture drag kings are rejected and taken for granted, sometimes they are not taken seriously  for male chauvinism. For being part of the gay community, some drag kings are not capable of getting married and they can't also adopt children, this depend on the country the live for example, only kings from Belgium, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Iceland, Argentina and United States (some states) can get married.

In my opinion this group should be treated different, I think people must stop treating them as an outcast group, they're still human beings no matter their sexual orientation or their passion for drag perfomances. They have feelings just like us and deserve more recognition for their guts on representing what they really want to be and their passions.

After watching "My big fat Greek Wedding" and comparing Toula and Ian's cultures I started thinking about how popular and common weddings between people from different cultures have became
Now that we are living in a globalized world, communication and relationships between people from differents countries are topics that are seeing as normal and natural in society, but that doesn't mean there ain't problems that affect these type of  commitments.
One of the biggest problems is the perception of the family, some families (depending the culture) are very reserved and close when people from different groups referred. In this case, some of Toula's siblings were skeptics about her relationship with Ian, they considered that he wouldn't gave her a proper life for not being greek besides they didn't respect Toula's privacy; Ian's parents were most of all afraid of Toula's familly, they were overwhelmed and surprised by there manners.
Another problem is religion, people all over the world have different ways to celebrate their weddings, holidays, etc, acording their believes and spiritualities; although Toula and her family lived in North America (they are a subculture, Greek- American), they kept greek values an believes, that means they celebrate weddings acording their greek roots, that caused a problem for Ian beacuse he was a middle- class American, so he had to baptize as a greek.
I haven't married  yet so I can't give a reliable source, but for what i've seen on movies and friends experiences  those are the most common and difficult problems that could arise between marriages from different cultures.

I think it is very important for us to protect and maintain the languages of older cultures, because as Phil Borges said in his video, their mean a part of us, our history and our growth as a society. I think most of the knowledge we have came from that cultures, because they are ancient and also represent another ways to explain and see the situations that happens in our environment day by day. We should have cultural diversity, it makes our planet interesting, and it would be unfair for the other cultures to change all their knowledge a believes as a group. The linguist Claude Hagege said, "what me lose is essentially an enormous cultural heritage, the way of expressing the relationship with nature, with the worl, between themselves in the framework of their families, their kin people [sic]. " I thinks he is right especially because it is sad that a lot of people don't care about this, and don' t realize what we're losing.
